Navarcable obtains the environmental norm ISO 14.001

February 25th, 2010

Navarcable recently obtained the environmental norm ISO 14.001, with which it continues the dynamics of improvement and investment in the quality of its processes that was initiated in 2005 with implementation of the norm ISO 9.001.

The company, located in Peralta, is a production company for wiring harnesses for diverse applications. It is the first company in its sector in Navarre that has been certified with the specific regulation of environment (ISO 14.001) by Tüv Rheinland. This is an achievement with "a lot of merit", as is emphasized by Jorge Elustondo Aizpún, delegate of Tüv in Navarre, because "in this sector there are no systems specifically implemented for environmental management".

Elustondo also valued the point in time in which Navarcable undertakes this pioneering initiative: "2009 was a year of a lot of uncertainty. The decision to invest in new projects and to set oneself apart from the competition is of great value".

In turn Miriam Sanz, responsible for quality and Prevention of Labor Risks of Navarcable, emphasizes that this new system embraces a better knowledge of the law because "there were legal requirements that previously we did not know and that we now adhere to after the establishment of the environmental norm".
